Building one Europe

Detailed description of project

Project objectives:
Due to structural transformations, Poland is being confronted with particularly difficult challenges in agricultural and related areas. One result has been an enormous increase in unemployment. A group of interested Polish people should be given the opportunity to gain new insights and ideas for their own agricultural enterprises or for associated work. With regard to bit schulungscenter, the project was about organising 3-months work placements for the group of 20 participants in the partner institutions.

Project implementation:
The participants were placed to do the work experience in selected institutions, having regard to their vocational qualifications and interests. Beneficiaries of the project had the opportunity to work with new equipment, learn modern technologies and professional organisation of work. They improved their language skills and, what is the most important, they acquired solid vocational experience supported by the work experience.
The Voivodship Labour Office in Katowice, which had analysed the situation of the young people in the labour market, provided the opportunity to do work placements which were a valuable argument for young employees to apply before the recruitment board. Taking into consideration the profile of bit schulungscenter, work placements in Austria were designed to people who graduated from secondary schools of horticulture and agriculture profile.

Project results:
Thanks to these activities, beneficiaries gained great vocational experience in professional Austrian institutions. The Voivodship Labour Office in Katowice emphasised the crucial role of bit schulungscenter in the Final Report submitted to the Programme National Agency after completion of the project as well as in the Information Brochure of its office.
